Message from the Organizing Committee Chairman

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to attend the Second Asia Pacific Symposium on Advanced Molecular Technologies (2nd APSAMT). The symposium will be held from 13th to 15th August 2010 in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, SAR China under the theme of “New Horizon in Molecular Diagnostics” encompassing areas of genetics, infections, malignancy, genomics, proteomics and bio-informatics.

Hong Kong Society for Molecular Diagnostic Sciences co-organized with other distinguished organizations to invite world-renowned speakers to share their experience on the development and application of molecular technologies in rapid diagnosis at the 1st APSAMT in 2006. It has been a successful event and over the years, more molecular technologies developed to cope with the new challenges and needs that we face today for specific and rapid diagnosis. We hope this symposium again can provide a platform for open and frank discussions among clinicians, basic scientists, and health professions that facilitate not only for research, but also on the development of new methods for diseases control.

Hong Kong, as an Asia's premier travel destination and window to China and Macao offers the highest level of standards of facilities and hospitality. Our Organizing Committee will be at our best to host an enjoyable meeting with scientific highlights and a leisure stay.

We are hoping to see you all in beautiful and dynamic Hong Kong.

Dr. Daniel CC TAM, Ph.D.
